Commonly known as felt bush or elephant’s ear Kalanchoe, is a striking, tree-like succulent shrub native to Madagascar. It is best known for its large, arrowhead-shaped leaves covered in soft, velvety, felt-like hairs. This slow-growing plant typically reaches 3-5 feet tall in cultivation, although it can grow up to 12-20 feet under ideal outdoor conditions. It thrives in USDA hardiness zones 9-11 and is highly sensitive to frost.
