Aloe plicatilis grows flat, fan-shaped, upward facing leaves and a strong, thick trunk-like stem. Each leaf cluster (fan) bears one 12" - 20" orange-red flower in late winter to early spring. This species is known for its slow and steady growth rate, roughly a couple inches per year in optimal conditions. Loves full sun in coastal locations.
